A weathered gravestone commemorating the Thornton family.

The Thorntons of Lowestoft are members of our own family.  Francis Thornton was married twice and it is from his second marriage that we are descended.  Francis did not live to see all of his children grow up, but did leave a will which provided some very useful information about this family.
